Diploma Programme Coursework Feedback Tools (2026)

iBacalao publishes this comparison and is one of the products listed. It is a first-party commercial comparison, not an independent review. Vendor descriptions were last reviewed on 2026-09-25; they describe public product positioning, not independently measured grading accuracy.

This page compares coursework-review tools by the job that review feature performs: applying the right assessment context, explaining criterion-level weaknesses, ranking revisions, and comparing draft versions. It does not define the broader product category of every vendor listed.

The short answer

Compare coursework-feedback workflows by the capability a student actually needs: criterion-level feedback, revision priorities, draft comparison, authorship boundaries, privacy, and assessment-session context.

Which coursework-feedback capability do you need?

Start with the capability, not the logo. The same student may need a rubric-aware grader for one draft, a version comparison after revising, and an official teacher or supervisor for school-governed feedback.

How do current coursework tools position themselves?

These descriptions come from each vendor's current public surface. They are useful for identifying the workflow each product claims to provide, but they do not establish which grader is more accurate.

  • RevisionDojo: a broad Diploma Programme study platform with coursework grading and revision surfaces. Best-fit positioning: coursework feedback plus a broader revision ecosystem. Vendor source
  • MyRevisionAgent: a coursework-grading product advertising IA, EE and TOK graders with criterion-level breakdowns. Best-fit positioning: a dedicated grader and predicted outcome. Vendor source
  • Marksy: an AI coursework grader for Internal Assessment, Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge work. Best-fit positioning: a dedicated upload-and-grade workflow. Vendor source
  • IBLens: a coursework grader centered on subject/session-aware IA, EE and TOK feedback. Best-fit positioning: a focused upload-and-grade experience. Vendor source
  • Clastify: a large library of coursework examples and mark-scheme breakdowns, with additional review tools on some product surfaces. Best-fit positioning: studying previous Internal Assessments, Extended Essays and TOK work. Vendor source

How do you compare two coursework drafts?

Compare the same task under the same rubric context. Look at criterion-by-criterion changes rather than only the total score, then verify whether the new draft contains evidence that addresses the earlier feedback.

iBacalao's draft comparison uses two reviews of the same subject and level to show score movement by criterion. A changed practice score is still not an official grade.

What should a coursework feedback tool prove?

The cross-tool same-draft test is not yet complete. iBacalao has been checked hands-on; competitor rows remain vendor-published facts or labelled unknowns until an equivalent controlled test is run.

  1. Use the same permission-cleared, anonymized draft for every tool that accepts draft uploads.
  2. Select the same subject, level, assessment session, and rubric version wherever the product exposes those controls.
  3. Record the exact product/version, plan, test date, input format, and any settings that can change the output.
  4. Capture the returned output and measure criterion coverage, prioritization, factual or rubric errors, response time, and whether replacement assessment text is generated.
  5. Separate vendor-published facts from measurements observed during the test; do not convert an advertised claim into an observed result.
  6. Publish limitations and rerun material comparisons when a vendor changes its product, rubric support, pricing, or data-handling disclosures.

How do revision priorities and authorship change the choice?

A long list of comments is not the same as a revision plan. When time is limited, check whether the workflow distinguishes high-priority criterion gaps from lower-priority polish and whether it keeps the actual edit in the student's hands.

Where a supported review workflow is configured, iBacalao checks a draft you provide against the selected criteria and returns feedback and suggested next steps. Diploma Programme IA, Extended Essay, and TOK are specialist examples of that review path. Review AI-assisted work and follow your school's rules. IB guidance does not blanket-ban AI tools. AI-generated material used in assessed work must be acknowledged and referenced; schools may apply additional rules. iBacalao does not claim that using the product is universally allowed by the International Baccalaureate Organization.

What privacy questions should you check?

Before uploading assessed work, check what is stored, which service providers receive the draft, whether a provider may retain it, and how deletion works. The iBacalao Privacy Policy describes configured providers, signed-in review history, and the limits of deleting data held by a provider. It does not predict how an outside similarity or detection system will handle a document. Read the privacy policy.

Common questions about coursework feedback tools

What should I compare when choosing a Diploma Programme coursework feedback tool?
Check the exact coursework type and assessment session, criterion-level feedback, revision prioritization, draft-comparison support, what AI assistance each feature provides, privacy disclosures, and the evidence behind any grading or accuracy claim.
Which tools can review an Internal Assessment against the criteria?
Several current products advertise coursework grading or feedback. The useful comparison is not the vendor name alone: verify the exact subject/session criteria, what evidence is shown for each criterion, and whether the output tells you what to revise first.
Can a coursework feedback tool compare two versions of a draft?
Some workflows support repeat reviews or version comparison. iBacalao's public draft-comparison page compares two reviews of the same subject and level criterion by criterion so a student can see what changed between versions.
What does iBacalao's IA, EE, and TOK review feature do?
Where a supported review workflow is configured, iBacalao checks a draft you provide against the selected criteria and returns feedback and suggested next steps. Diploma Programme IA, Extended Essay, and TOK are specialist examples of that review path. Review AI-assisted work and follow your school's rules.
Does a predicted score from a feedback tool count as an official grade?
An iBacalao score is practice feedback against configured criteria. It is not an official exam grade, a predicted final grade, or evidence of agreement with examiners.
